The easiest way to maintain either of these service and maintenance schedules is to receive alerts via your Mercedes-Benz driver information center, part of the high-tech connectivity found in modern luxury vehicles.
What separates Service A from Service B? What services do they cover? Mercedes-Benz of Lafayette will answer your questions about these two maintenance intervals for your vehicle. Learn more about the differences between Mercedes-Benz Service A and B with our handy guide for Indianapolis drivers.
Mercedes-Benz Service A* begins after one year or 10,000 miles, whichever comes first. Although the services a technician will perform can vary depending on the model year, Service A includes several pertinent services designed to keep your Mercedes-Benz vehicle in top shape for as long as you own your car.
Mercedes-Benz Service B* starts at 20,000 miles or 2 years, whichever comes first. During Service B, a factory-trained Mercedes-Benz technician will perform several maintenance services to keep your vehicle in perfect working order.
A Mercedes-Benz service center will do these tasks:
The main difference between Mercedes-Benz Service A and Mercedes-Benz Service B is time intervals. Service A is suggested after 1 year or 10,000 miles, whichever occurs first. Service B is recommended after 2 years or 20,000 miles, whichever occurs first.
Most of the services performed by technicians are mostly the same between Service A and B. However, with Service B, your vehicle will get brake fluid and cabin air filter replacement. Certain CLA and GLA AMG® models also receive an engine air filter replacement during Service B. You can always check your owner’s manual and the main screen on your modern Mercedes-Benz vehicle for more information.
