With the concern of climate change, many companies are going green. Major automakers like Mercedes are starting to join their ranks. Many of them are establishing goals to produce more electric models and enforce stricter zero-emission standards for their production processes.

The Mercedes-Benz EQC Generation

Mercedes aims to have hybrid and all-electric cars make up over half of its sold cars by 2030. And by 2039, two decades from now, it aims to produce only electric vehicles. To this end, the brand will soon release its first all-electric offering, the Mercedes-Benz EQC generation. If you're a fan of hybrid and electric models, this one promises to exceed your expectations for the segment.

Additional Electric Plans

The brand's manufacturing plants are also part of the new electric plans. Using clean energy like wind power, Mercedes will convert European factories to be carbon-neutral in three years.

This objective is definitely an ambitious one. But since the transformation focuses on the product line and not its commercial line of Thomas Built Buses and Freightliner trucks, the project's scope seems limited enough to be feasible.
